Reading Room Cases
When discussing Adirondack literature in his introduction to Dorothy Plum’s Adirondack Bibliography Supplement 1956-1965, William K. Verner divides the years spanning the bibliography (1535 to 1973) into eight different time periods. I have decided to use his timeline as a guide for my own bibliography in order to give context to each of the entries in my chronological exhibit. Where appropriate in terms of poetical significance, I have combined certain periods, or left out years (as my bibliography does not begin until 1845) and have been left with four major eras, all of which are described bellow as they appear in the chronology.
