The Arts Window

In May, 1976, the Arts Window of Gunnison Chapel was dedicated. It mixes biblical characters with figures representing the worlds of art, music and architecture. The window was given by trustee Homer Vilas (class of 1913) in honor of his wife Elizabeth (1913).

The Judson Window

Description:
While today's Gunnison Chapel is renowned for its exquisite stained glass windows, only two of the over 2 dozen windows are original to the building. The "Cross and Crown" window is positioned directly behind the altar and is fashioned after a window in the Universalist Church of Malden, Massachusetts, where Dr. Richard Eddy Sykes, President of SLU at the time of the chapel's construction, served before coming to the Presidency in 1919.
