Description:
While today's Gunnison Chapel is renowned for its exquisite stained glass windows, only two of the over 2 dozen windows are original to the building. The "Cross and Crown" window is positioned directly behind the altar and is fashioned after a window in the Universalist Church of Malden, Massachusetts, where Dr. Richard Eddy Sykes, President of SLU at the time of the chapel's construction, served before coming to the Presidency in 1919.
