Home; Well I have not much news to write to night for I am not in a very good mood to write. We got our pay last Sunday and the boys are a having a little time. I have just come from town and I have drank more liquor today than I have any one day since I came into the regiment. And I have lost $8.00 somewhere. I was fooling with it and took it out of my pocketbook and put it loose in my pocket and I missed it in about an hour and none of the boys had seen it. Come easy, go easy. I have got to be more saving of what I have left. I am a going to send home a little and I do not want you to say anything about what I send home. I promised to send my money to Levi if I had any to spare and I do not want he should know that I sent it. I want you to pay Duane Thompson $5,00 and if Levi has not paid the Dr I want you to pay it.
I am well please excuse this short letter and I will write a long one next time
