I received a letter from you stating that you had received 20 dollars from me and you said that if you paid the doctor that you would not have much left. I supposed that the doctor had his pay six months ago. I gave Levi money to pay that with before I left. I will send you 10.00 dollars to pay him I want you to tell him I am sorry that he has been without it so long. I suppose he had his pay certainly.
I was cut short just now by one of the boys sticking his head into my tent and saying that there was a box for me at the depot. I have just been and got it and now undone it. Thank you for your kindness and will endeavor to repay it by being more careful of my money so as to send you more with this letter I will send an X to pay ___. I received everything safe I got a letter from you speaking of your part in regard to Sarah. Well everything may look clear enough
