Description: 
St. Lawrence University became a fully residential campus for men and women with the construction in 1931 of what for years would simply be called "Men's Residence". In the 1960s, after another round of dormitory construction on campus, "Men's Res" would be named Sykes Residence in honor of former President Richard Eddy Sykes, in whose era this dorm was built.
