Description: 
Industrialist Andrew Carnegie contributed $50,000 in 1905 to finance the construction of St. Lawrence University's first dedicated building for science instruction. The famous author and 1892 graduate Irving Bacheller was instrumental in securing the pledge. Carnegie Hall was completed in 1906.
