My Darling:
I got home last night.  Here are two letters telling me that you’re coming up.  I’m making this answer to you to say “Thank God”!  I was going to write you to please come here as soon as you could ; and to please plan to stay as long  as you feel well here.  You write that you hope I will be glad to see you.  I not only will be glad to see you : I have to see you.  The situation in my life—and in yours, as mine affects it—is serious.  Please come.  I need your help, your understanding as I have never needed it before.
Lovingly,
Rockwell
