Following the tragic death of her mother, novelist Debra Benson experiences severe writer's block. Her friend Ashley persuades her to seek rest and solace in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, where she meets David Kimble, an undercover FBI agent posing as a forest ranger. When Debra finds out that the father she never knew is the probable next president and wants her killed to protect his reputation, Debra and David find themselves on a perilous journey of life and death.
